DECRUY NV was established in 1970 as a reaction against the greatly increasing demand for prefabricated furniture parts, at a time when demand was changing from furniture manufacturing towards furniture assembly.

Our initial activity was the production of drawer profiles, then later of all kinds of profiles covered with foils for kitchen, bathroom, living, bedroom and office furniture, as well as for application in the decoration sector. At a later stage, our product line was completed with membrane doors and furniture elements.

We devote ever-greater attention to assuring the quality of our products. Our quality system, developed in-house, is refined and updated continuously in order to meet the expectations of our customers home and abroad in every way. Ecological raw materials are now gaining interest and are used more and more often. In order to keep up with the ever-growing demand, quick expansion was the only option; extension of our capacity and a well-developed organisation have given us the necessary extra flexibility, which is the absolute requisite to meet ever-shortening deadlines. It was also in this context that Decruy Transport was established in 1988, as an extra service for our customers.

A raging fire in 1989 put a brake on expansion and kept us out of the market for a while. However, in less than no time, we were back again, stronger than ever before : with completely new machinery and a motivated team, we were ready to take up any challenge.

The abolition of the internal borders in Europe has given a new dimension to exports. Since 1999 a permanent representation in Shanghai serves as hub for the Asiatic markets. Meanwhile, the majority of our output is exported worldwide, which granted us the enviable "Royal Export Award" in 2000.
